Kevin B. Connolly – Buying and Selling Volatility
While the idea of generating profits through volatility trading has existed for some time, it remains largely underutilized by most market participants. Buying and Selling Volatility is one of the first books to thoroughly demystify this method of trading—without relying on complicated math. Presenting a fresh perspective on options, Connolly shifts the focus entirely toward volatility, making the subject accessible and practical.
Through clear visuals and straightforward explanations, the author illustrates how volatility directly influences option pricing. Connolly breaks down how traders can take advantage of both high and low volatility environments—regardless of whether the underlying market is trending up or down. This book proves valuable for both newcomers looking to understand volatility and seasoned professionals aiming to refine their strategies.
