by Gerald Appel (Author)
Gerald Appel’s Practical Power Tools!, in contrast to most technical analysis publications, provides detailed directions that almost any investor can follow to attain revolutionary market success. For the first time, Appel demystifies even complex technical analysis by shedding light on a variety of tactics and timing models. NASDAQ/NYSE Relative Strength, 3-5 Year Treasury Notes, Triple Momentum, Seasonality, Breadth-Thrust Impulse, and models based on the ground-breaking MACD approaches he personally developed are some of the models he examines.
Appel covers a wide range of topics, including time and calendar cycles, predictive chart patterns, relative strength, market breadth, overbought/oversold indicators, Trin, VIX, major term buy and sell signals, moving average trading channels, stock market synergy, and momentum and trend of price movement. He offers strategies for investors who are short-, intermediate-, and long-term, as well as those who invest in mutual funds.

Clear, concise wording with helpful advice.
For intermediate to seasoned traders, the information in this book is really helpful. Gerald writes facts in an easy-to-understand manner and offers helpful tips on technical analysis. He begins with an outline of mutual fund analysis and appraisal. incredibly helpful for people who are managing money or intend to do so. He then looks at some fresh chart readings and does a great deal of research on past stock indices. He covers a number of conventional charting interpretations, including head and shoulders and triangle.
The MACD chapter itself is a must-read for anyone using MACD in their daily research, and he explains market cycles and T Formations on charts to predict the end of cycles. Very helpful and fascinating, he shows MACD with various timeframes and readings with two or three different MACDs to start and finish trades. He created a summary of every chapter and its tips at the conclusion of each one, which is very convenient and quick to consult. It’s a good book to read and refer to throughout time.

Worth reading
The main reason I purchased this book was after reading reviews that mentioned a chapter discussing MACD. I was not let down because this book taught me a lot more about MACD. As said by another reader, why not read the inventor’s book if you wish to learn MACD?
I didn’t read the entire book, but I did read a few other chapters. It was very simple for me to read and comprehend.
Don’t miss this book, in my opinion; it’s worth reading.
