Jonathan Rose

In 1998, Jonathan Rose launched his trading career on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. As an early adopter of electronic trading, he played a significant role in enhancing liquidity within the emerging Globex platform. After spending five years trading Nasdaq Futures, he was recruited by a technology-driven firm specializing in Fixed Income trading.
Between 2003 and 2010, Jonathan held the role of one of four Senior Partners at a proprietary trading company in Chicago. Starting as the firm’s sixth hire, he rose to become the Director of Futures Trading, overseeing all proprietary trading activities. He established and led a team of 15 proprietary traders and was responsible for managing the performance of a 60-trader floor. During this time, Jonathan trained over 30 traders in all facets of Fixed Income markets.
From 2010 to 2013, Jonathan transitioned to equity options, serving as a Market Maker on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). He managed his own trading book, actively trading more than 100 stocks simultaneously.
In 2014, Jonathan joined a private Family Office (hedge fund) based in suburban Chicago. Working alongside the investment team, he helped create and implement a pair trading strategy focused on Closed-End Funds. In addition to this role, he supports various other strategies within the firm, particularly in areas of business growth and development. Jonathan earned his B.S. from the University of Miami in 1997 and became a CFA Level 2 Candidate in 2015.
Jonathan completed the Madison Ironman in 2011 and has run four marathons over the past four years. In his personal time, he enjoys life with his wife, two sons, and playing guitar.
