Meet the Man Who Started It All…
Hello, I’m Clint Fester, and my Instagram handle is @mr_festx. Cape Town, South Africa, is where I was born and reared. I am a 33-year-old full-time FX trader and business owner. I am the father of my two lovely children, Kyro and Kourtney, and the spouse of Simone Fester. I left my 9 to 5 job in March 2015 after nearly 5 years there, and I have been an entrepreneur ever since.I began to see my future clearly and realized that I would not be able to buy a Ferrari, live in a mansion, and travel the world with my family while working a day job.
To be honest, when we were young, we all had posters of exotic cars on the walls of our rooms, but somehow, as we grew older, we forgot to have big dreams. One evening while eating dinner with a friend, I noticed some amusing-looking graphs he was staring at on his cellphone. I asked him what he was looking at, and he replied, “I am trading Forex.” I can’t even explain the blank look I gave him because, until that night, the word “Forex” was foreign to me.
Nevertheless, I was captivated by what he was showing and explaining to me, and I almost choked on my sushi when he mentioned the profits he was making. I couldn’t comprehend how that could be from a cell phone, so it seemed unbelievable to me! The following day, I stayed in bed all night and watched currency tutorials on
YouTube for hours. I mustered the bravery to load my first account again after watching video after video explaining “what is forex,” “how to trade,” “broker recommendations,” etc. I used some of my hard-earned money to fund my first forex account in May 2016, with no prior knowledge of the forex markets other than a few YouTube lessons! I made a big error by assuming I was ready. In the first week, I completely wasted that $500 account!
I decided I needed to find a mentor after loading another $500 account and blowing that in two weeks. I took a three-day course at a Cape Town institute after a month, but I was still unsure of when to start trading or when to turn a profit. My losing run persisted.
I followed a UK company on Instagram for a while before turning to them after several weeks of heartbreak and failure. I felt motivated to learn from these gentlemen after seeing their Technical Tuesday videos EVERY WEEK. After saving money, I emailed to inquire about the cost of the online course and signed up a month later. My trading significantly changed, and I began to make weekly withdrawals and actually reach the broker account withdrawal page.
Although it wasn’t as steady as I would have liked, money started to come in very nicely. I spent weeks performing “backtesting” and studying for hours on end because I wanted to improve at what I did. At this point, I could be considered a profitable trader. My entries on this pair have altered significantly since I took another online course with a man in the USA who has mastered my favorite pair, USDJPY.
I have been an entrepreneur for three years and a forex trader for two years. I work full-time and don’t have a day job; forex is my life and allows me to provide for my family in ways I could only imagine. I’m still in awe of the fact that we can generate the kind of money we do with our telephones!
I began a two-day personal mentorship course in January 2018 with just one student, and after two months, it quickly expanded.
